Description de poste5+ years of dedicated application testing experience within the past 7 years 1+ year experience writing and executing automated UI and API tests Prior experience on Agile projects as a dedicated automated tester Proficiency with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress.io or equivalent) Experience with cross-platform, mobile, and accessibility (WCAG 2.0) testing Background in testing large-scale, web-based educational platforms
Overview
Initial Term : 1 year (until September 30, 2026)
Extensions : Up to two (2) optional one-year extensions
Work Hours : Minimum 7 hours / day
Work Location : Primarily Remote, with occasional onsite support in Edmonton, Alberta (at the candidate's own expense)
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining test plans, cases, and automated test scripts
- Performing automated application testing on Learn Alberta and associated platforms
- Conducting multiple testing phases : Functional, System, Integration, Regression, UAT, Mobile (iOS / Android), Cross-browser, Accessibility (WCAG 2.0)
- Validating requirements, user stories, and UI / UX designs
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects
- Managing test data and defect backlogs
- Producing status and progress reports as required
