Overview

Initial Term : 1 year (until September 30, 2026)

Extensions : Up to two (2) optional one-year extensions

Work Hours : Minimum 7 hours / day

Work Location : Primarily Remote, with occasional onsite support in Edmonton, Alberta (at the candidate's own expense)

Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining test plans, cases, and automated test scripts
Performing automated application testing on Learn Alberta and associated platforms
Conducting multiple testing phases : Functional, System, Integration, Regression, UAT, Mobile (iOS / Android), Cross-browser, Accessibility (WCAG 2.0)
Validating requirements, user stories, and UI / UX designs
Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects
Managing test data and defect backlogs
Producing status and progress reports as required

Mandatory Qualifications (Must-Have)

5+ years of dedicated application testing experience within the past 7 years

1+ year experience writing and executing automated UI and API tests

Desirable Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

Prior experience on Agile projects as a dedicated automated tester

Proficiency with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress.io or equivalent)

Experience with cross-platform, mobile, and accessibility (WCAG 2.0) testing

Background in testing large-scale, web-based educational platforms
