As the Senior Actuarial Consultant, you will support the reserving side of Corporate Actuarial. You will collaborate with business partners to understand their needs and lead complex projects to deliver unique solutions to ensure the profitability of property and casualty (P&C) lines of business.
How you will create impact :
- Contributing to regulatory and strategic reserving analyses using actuarial models, various data sources and programming languages.
- Supporting the Financial Condition Testing (FCT), Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) and other capital modeling initiatives using specialized softwares and various data sources.
- Analyzing the needs of business partners, researching multiple data sources and identifying actuarial requirements to design innovative solutions for complex challenges.
- Building and implementing detailed project plans, performing peer reviews and providing direction and expertise to team members to facilitate their development.
- Coaching and mentoring team members to facilitate their development and fostering a team environment focused on collaboration and innovation.

To join our team :
- You have completed a post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or a related discipline.
- You have six years of relevant experience in the property and casualty actuarial field.
- You have advanced knowledge of modeling softwares and programming languages.
- You have strong knowledge of P&C insurance products, emerging trends and best practices in the actuarial landscape.
- Having or working towards the ACAS or FCAS designations is an asset.
- Proficiency in English is essential to the main duties in this role, including servicing and communicating primarily with majority non-francophone clients, groups, teams.
Drafting complex English documents and preparing daily reports for anglophone leaders. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
