REGISTERED NURSE (RN), DAY CARE SURGERY

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Program Manager is responsible for the nursing care of assigned patients and assists the Program Manager in follow-up of patient care and nursing practice issues. In conjunction with the Operating Room staff and OR Resource Leader, plans for staff educational needs.

Dawson Creek & District Hospital Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full service community hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 Acute Care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the Orthopaedic Trauma and Surgical centre for the Northeast Region of BC. Services include:
• Emergency
• ICU
• Day Surgery
• Respiratory Therapy
• Primary Care
• Acute Care
• Diagnostic Imaging
• Laboratory
Visiting specialists including:
• Urology
• Dermatology
• Pediatrics
• Obstetrics and Gynecology
**Construction is underway on the new Dawson Creek & District Hospital, anticipated to open in Spring 2027. Dawson Creek Wide blue skies and the rolling foothills of the Northern Rockies surround Dawson Creek. The city is also known as the Mile Zero City, as it marks the start of the Alaska Highway, a 2,400 km long highway connecting Alaska and the Yukon to Western Canada and the United States.
