Summary : This role is to assist the Human Resources department in day to day activities and Environmental Health and Safety tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications :
Pursuing a University or College degree in Human ResourcesStrong communicator in the English language, both written and verbalProficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Excellent organizational and time management skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving skillsCritical Success Factors :
Learn the business, understand the production process by walking the floor & participating in production meetingsAbility to work independently without supervision and with minimum directionAbility to work in a team environment and be both a team player and team leaderAbility to manage and direct subordinates on the day-to-day tasks in a fast paced environmentAdopt a common sense approach to identifying and addressing problems and control weaknessesEnsure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe conditionResponsibilities :
Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Martinrea Industrial Canada rules, policies and proceduresMust use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as required by Martinrea Industrial CanadaHelp maintain HRIS; enter new hires, process pay changes, etc.Help with recruitment activities of all personnelHelp track employee headcount / manningOrganize employee events and activities at site levelMaintain training records for all employeesHelp employees with questions and concerns regarding but not limited to hourly pay, benefits, health and safetyHelp maintain employee communication boardsAbide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee HandbookMust understand the six elements of the Quality System, Record Retention, Document Control, Non-conforming Material, Corrective Action, Preventative Action and internal audits as well as department procedures.Working Conditions :

Ability to work on computer for long periods of timeAbility to be present on the production floor on a daily basisHealth and Safety Responsibilities :
