Your role

Want to be the next HR Administrative support (Workday, HR Operations) to join the HR Shared Services - HR Administration team? We are looking for dynamic people with the ability to provide administrative and transactional support in the processing of HR Administration events. While the work must conform to CBC standard operations, HR Policies, Collective Agreements and administrative procedures, there is the opportunity and a requirement for independent judgment and decision making within sets of complex parameters.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for accurate, timely processing of all types of staffing events (ex. retirement, resignation, etc.).
  • Verify requests to ensure compliance with CBC policies, Workday procedures, collective agreements.
  • Manage and respond to employee enquiries through a ticketing system, including escalated interactions to ensure effective and timely response and / or resolution.
  • Build relationships with the requester based on trust through open, supportive and positive communication.
  • Ensure that all requests are properly authorized and documented. Follow up with Managers, Business Support or HR Business Partners as required when documentation is incorrect, incomplete or unclear.
  • Ensure that changes have been applied correctly in the pay system by reviewing the pay draft results, when required.
  • Work closely with other related teams within Shared Services, Workday People System and Analytics team, Total Rewards, HR Business Partners to ensure pay information is properly and accurately entered into the system.
  • Understand at a high level, the impacts of other business processes within Workday and recognize the impacts when making changes to an employee file in order to ensure accuracy.
  • Participate in documenting internal procedures and processes.
  • Work with highly confidential and sensitive information concerning employee files.

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience performing duties similar or related to this position.
  • Written and oral bilingualism is required.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Management systems such as Workday.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to manage several priorities and meet multiple, tight deadlines.
  • Discretion, diplomacy and tact in communications with staff and / or managers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good judgment, initiative and resourcefulness; therefore, ability to solve a variety of issues.
  • Flexibility to work overtime to meet tight deadlines.
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
