About the Role
Join an established Canadian textile manufacturer as a hands-on engineer who embeds with operational teams to deliver production software. You will own projects end to end, helping improve factory operations through ERP implementation, integrations, automation, and AI tools.
What You'll Do
- Lead ERP implementation, including configuring factory-floor devices and designing efficient data capture workflows.
- Build and deploy automation tools and AI agents for operational tasks such as order entry.
- Develop and own full-stack applications, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines across ERP, logistics, commerce, and factory systems.
- Work directly with factory managers and other stakeholders to move projects forward independently.
- Take on varied technical projects across the business, from initial problem-solving through production support.
What We're Looking For
- Two to ten years of experience as a forward deployed or full-stack engineer, including experience in customer-embedded delivery roles.
- Evidence of personally building, deploying, supporting, and owning production systems, with hands-on software engineering experience.
- Experience driving projects independently and communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders, including factory teams.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, Python, Git and GitHub, SQL, APIs, full-stack development, data pipelines, AWS or other cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and AI or agentic AI.
- Active GitHub contributions, including more than 500 in the past year and an average of at least 250 per year over the past four years.
- Experience in an early-stage startup environment; hardware company experience and contributions to open-source projects are also relevant.
- Authorized to work in Canada without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: C$130,000 to C$200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. Relocation reimbursement of up to C$10,000 is available for pre-approved, receipt-backed moving and short-term accommodation expenses.
Location
On-site, five days per week, in Montréal, Quebec, or Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Primary location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada.
