Position Overview

The Client Growth Adviser (CGA) is responsible for proactively identifying and enabling growth opportunities within our existing customer base.

Working alongside Renewals and Sales, the CGA uses renewal timelines, customer insights, account data, and strategic discovery to identify opportunities for cross-sell, upsell, and broader customer engagement. The ideal candidate is commercially curious, highly organized, comfortable engaging customers, and skilled at turning customer conversations and account insights into actionable growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery to understand evolving customer priorities, business challenges, technology needs, and future initiatives.
  • Identify cross-sell, upsell, whitespace, and solution expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Leverage renewal data, account history, customer conversations, and internal insights to uncover potential areas for growth.
  • Qualify opportunities and capture relevant customer intelligence to support meaningful follow-up.
  • Facilitate introductions and meetings between customers, sellers, and appropriate internal specialists.

Sales & Renewals Partnership

  • Partner closely with Renewal Specialists and Sales to create a coordinated customer experience.
  • Use the renewal lifecycle as an opportunity to initiate broader strategic conversations without taking ownership of the renewal transaction.
  • Share customer insights and identified opportunities with the appropriate seller.
  • Collaborate with sellers to determine next steps and support progression of identified opportunities.
  • Engage internal specialists and solution resources when additional expertise is required.
  • Maintain clear communication and ownership throughout the handoff process.

Client Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders through proactive and consultative engagement.
  • Ask strategic discovery questions to understand current priorities, challenges, and future needs.
  • Connect customer objectives to relevant capabilities, solutions, and resources.
  • Create value beyond the renewal conversation by helping customers explore opportunities that support their broader business goals.
  • Ensure customer interactions are coordinated with the broader account team.

Pipeline & Activity Management

  • Maintain accurate CGA activity and opportunity information within CRM and designated tracking systems.
  • Track identified opportunities, customer and seller meetings, handoffs, influenced pipeline, and outcomes.
  • Follow up on identified opportunities to understand progression and results.
  • Provide visibility into CGA activity, trends, successes, and areas of opportunity.
  • Use data and account insights to continuously improve targeting and customer engagement.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Renewals, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and uncover growth opportunities.
