Robert Half is on the hunt for an earnest Financial Analyst to join an expanding company in the Plastics Manufacturing industry.
In this position, you will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as have responsibility for measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans.
You will also be responsible for advising management on the allocation of resources to best complete objectives and preparing reports for management.
You will join a dynamic team as a key business partner in areas including forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management.
This Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity and is located in the Mississauga, Ontario, area.
We seek a candidate with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated competency in financial analysis.
How you will make an impact
- Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
- Discover the root causes of internal and external facts that are influencing performance and outcomes
- Operate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
- Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area / Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
- Produce and manage forecasting reports
- Become an expert of Canadian Sales portfolio with understanding of top customers, geographies, channels, sectors, products and go to market strategies to serve as value added and trusted business partner
- Drive financial results by providing Sales Leadership with greater visibility of growth and profit drivers, identifying bleeders and enhancing profitability of customer programs
- Develop longer term financial frameworks, growth drivers and pricing solutions
- Work collaboratively to complete financial analysis to ensure profitable new customer deals and assist with RFPs or RFQs
- Develop pricing recommendations and guidance on existing deals with focus on increasing margin improvements
Job Requirements :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
- BA / BS degree in finance or a related field
- Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
- Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle / Hyperion / SAP Business Objects / SFDC / Tableau- Communication experience
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Analysis experience
- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized)
