Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Administration Manager, Finance to provide strategic financial leadership for a major mining project in Manitoba. This is a key leadership role supporting the project through development and construction and ultimately into operations.

As the senior finance partner for the project, you will lead financial planning, reporting, cost management, capital analysis and finance administration while helping build a high-performing site finance team. You will work closely with operational, technical and corporate stakeholders to drive informed decision-making, financial discipline and long-term operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis and financial modelling.

  • Manage monthly close, financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, dashboards, KPIs and management presentations.

  • Partner with operational teams to monitor project and production costs, identify savings opportunities and support continuous improvement.

  • Monitor capital project expenditures, evaluate investment performance and maintain alignment with approved budgets.

  • Oversee accounts payable, payroll and related finance administration.

  • Establish and maintain strong financial controls, policies, accounting standards and audit readiness.

  • Provide financial analysis and actionable business insights to site and corporate leadership.

  • Build, mentor and develop the site finance team as the project progresses toward operations.

  • Help establish scalable finance processes, controls and reporting to support the transition from development and construction into an operating mine.

  • Work with ERP and financial reporting platforms such as SAP and OneStream, along with advanced Excel.

  • Support procurement, warehouse and site administration stakeholders as required.

  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, accountability and operational excellence.

  • Travel regularly during the development phase and transition to a primarily site-based 7/7 fly-in/fly-out rotation once operations commence.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.

  • Meaningful mine-site finance experience, including a strong understanding of mining costs, cost flows, capital/project costing and operational drivers.

  • Strong hands-on experience with monthly close, financial reporting, forecasting, annual budgeting, variance analysis and cost management.

  • Experience supporting capital projects and providing financial partnership to operational leadership.

  • Two to five years of leadership or supervisory experience, or equivalent demonstrated people-management capability.

  • Proven ability to build, mentor and develop finance teams.

  • University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.

  • Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems such as SAP and OneStream.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • CPA, CA, CMA or CGA designation is an asset but is not mandatory for candidates with strong mine-site finance experience.

  • Experience supporting a mining project through development/construction and into operations is a strong asset.

  • Must be comfortable with regular travel during development and a future primarily site-based 7/7 fly-in/fly-out schedule.

During the development and construction phase, the position is expected to operate remotely with regular travel to the project site and corporate offices. Once operations commence, the role is expected to transition primarily to a 7/7 fly-in/fly-out rotation, with company-supported charter transportation from Winnipeg to Northern Manitoba and applicable travel and accommodation provided in accordance with company policies.
