HR Recruiter - 1 year contract

Job Summary

A New Westminster based public sector organization is seeking an experienced HR Recruiter for a 1-year contract opportunity. This role is ideal for a recruitment professional who enjoys full cycle hiring, stakeholder partnership, candidate engagement, and supporting recruitment best practices across a diverse organization.

As the HR Recruiter, you will work closely with department managers and HR stakeholders to attract, assess, and hire qualified talent across professional, technical, and operational areas. Key Responsibilities

- Manage full cycle recruitment from intake and sourcing through interviewing, selection, offers, onboarding, and offboarding support.
- Partner with department managers and internal stakeholders to understand workforce needs, position requirements, and hiring priorities.
- Build and maintain talent networks to attract qualified candidates across a range of professional and technical fields.
- Review applications, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and evaluate candidate fit against role requirements.
- Support recruitment outreach, workforce planning, candidate attraction strategies, and continuous improvement of sourcing methods.
- Prepare weekly recruitment reporting, track key metrics, and provide updates on recruitment activity, progress, and priorities.
- Execute end-to-end full cycle recruitment across multiple departments and job families.
- Partner with management and stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment outreach, candidate sourcing, onboarding, and offboarding activities.
- Track recruitment activity, prepare weekly reporting, and monitor key recruitment metrics.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: Up to $95,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Job Type: 1-year contract.
- Location: New Westminster, BC.
