Job Title: Scrum Master - Senior
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Work Model: Onsite
Duration: 6 months

Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certifications.
- Strong understanding of both Scrum methodology and business analysis frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and processes, particularly CI/CD pipelines.
- Scrum and Agile Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead Agile ceremonies and implement Scrum principles effectively across development teams.
- Business Process Modeling: Proficiency in modeling current and future business processes using tools like BPMN and process flow diagrams.
- Requirements Gathering: Strong expertise in gathering and documenting business requirements, translating them into actionable user stories and process documents.
Description / Responsibilities / Skills
Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on specific project methods.
- Prepares training materials, training sessions on project delivery methodology in accordance with guidelines.
- Acquires, customizes, documents, integrates, communicates and implements comprehensive IT standards and guidelines.
General Skills
- Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks
- Communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment and proven ability to do effective stakeholder management
- Experience facilitating the relationships between the Agile team and product owner and maintaining a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution
- Experience leading the Agile methodology and development teams in self-organization and identifying and filling in blanks in the framework
- Experience mentoring and coaching the teams on removing impediments
Desirable Skills
- Project Methodology certifications such as Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Black/Green/Yellow Belt, etc.

Education Qualitifcations (40%)
- Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and ensure productivity in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience Qualification (30%)
- Advanced Certifications: PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience in DevOps Environments: Previous experience as a Scrum Master and Business Analyst within a DevOps setting, bridging the gap between development and operations teams.
- Familiarity with DevOps Tools: Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with Cloud and Containerization Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Software Development Background: Experience in software development is advantageous, enabling better communication with technical teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in industries like finance, healthcare, or other regulated sectors is preferred.
Requirements Skillset (20%)
- Backlog Management: Experience collaborating with Product Owners to manage product backlogs, ensuring the highest-priority work is well-defined and ready for development.
- Gap Analysis and Problem-Solving: Ability to perform gap analysis, identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations.
- Agile Metrics Management: Skilled in tracking and analyzing Agile metrics (e.g., Burndown charts, Velocity) to drive team performance improvements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Expertise in managing and balancing stakeholder needs while ensuring alignment with development priorities.
- Conflict Resolution: Experience resolving conflicts within the team and between stakeholders to maintain harmony and productivity.
