PositionSummary

Under the supervision of the Capital Works Supervisor, the incumbentis responsible formaintainingcontracted assets(Bridges,culverts,roadways,medians,signs,guardrails,fences,tunnels,vegetation,etc.)perstandardsandconditionsspecified in the contract.

We offer competitive pay and other seasonal benefits. The pay range for this position is $25.50–$26.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

PrimaryDutiesandResponsibilities

WinterSeason

• Removalofsnowandicebyusingsnowremovaland/orsandingequipment.

SummerSeason

• Clean,Maintainandrepair:bridges,culverts,shoulders,signs,guiderailandotherhighwayinventory.

• Operatevehiclesandequipmentasrequired:forsurfaceandright-of-waymaintenanceandrepairofbridges,culverts, shoulders, etc.

AsRequired

• TrafficcontrolsetupandremovalinaccordancewithOTMBook7

• Transportcrewandequipmenttoworksites

• Beavailableforemergencyresponserotationsasneededforovertime,evenings,weekends,andholidays.

• OtherdutiesasassignedbytheContractManager.

Knowledge,Skills&Abilities

• Skillintheoperationofcompany/rentaltoolsandequipment.

• Abilitytoeffectivelycommunicate

• Abilitytoperformbasicmathskills,suchasaddition,subtraction,multiplication,anddivision.

• Abilitytointerpretavarietyofinstructionsfurnishedinwritten,oral,diagram,orscheduleform.

• Highlydevelopedsenseofsafetyawarenessandperceptiveability.

• Abilitytorecognizehazardsinherentinroutineandnon-routinetasksandmakeadjustmentstoavoidloss,injuryor accident.

• Ability to communicate with co-workers/subcontractors, understand and follow verbal and written safetyinstructions.Abilitytothinkclearlyandfocusonyoursafetyinyourimmediatesurroundings,whileusingtoolsand equipment, while driving or operating equipment.

• YouwillberequiredtowearPersonalProtectiveEquipment(PPE)appropriatetoyourjob.

EducationandExperience

• HighSchoolDiploma/GEDrequired

• Minimumofthree(3)yearsrelatedworkexperienceinbridge/roadconstructionandmaintenance(outdoorwork

-Preferred)

• MiniumDZ driver’slicenserequiredwitha good drivingrecord.
