Design Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Curtain wall and Glazing Designer for a well established and growing client of ours. Our client is an award winning design firm that offers the best in quality, service, innovation and experience in all applications of architectural glazing design, engineering, and installation. Hybrid work environment (4 days in office).

Responsibilities
· Create shop drawings for curtain wall window, door, skylight and vent systems.
· Reference architectural drawings to adhere to project details.
· With direction from the Drafting Manager, collaborate with the project team to design and
draw custom solutions to site specific installation details.
· Correspond with architects and general contractors.
· Participate in as-built layout & dimensioning.
· Produce fabrication drawings.
· Respond to enquiries from shop regarding shop drawing details.
· Ensure proper revision control of all drawings.
· Adhere to quality control standards.
· An active participant in the Occupational Health and Safety plan

Qualifications
-employee attributes: Reliable, Confident, Efficient, Knowledgeable and a Team Player
-Post-secondary degree is an asset
-Advanced AutoCAD and modeling software experience
-Experience in the glazing trade and/or general construction is an asset.
-Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Project)
-Solid work ethic, results oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and consistently deliver on time with a high degree of accuracy.
-A meticulous approach to details
