Job Description

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee site-level quality operations to ensure products meet customer requirements and company standards. This position is responsible for driving customer and supplier quality management, leading root cause complaint investigations, and directing product inspection and release programs. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Manager manages direct reports, supports new launches, conducts plant capacity and performance studies, and leads continuous improvement initiatives.

This is an on-site quality leadership role managing site compliance, quality strategy, and direct reports.

Customer Management

  • Oversee effective, timely customer complaint investigations across all departments to root cause, ensuring effective corrective actions, proper escalation, and management reviews to prioritize improvements.

  • Utilize standard processes, procedures, and databases to manage complaints and align internal quality processes with customer specifications and requirements.

Supplier Management

  • Manage supplier quality issues and partner with Procurement to set quality expectations, conduct regular supplier performance reviews, and build continuous improvement plans.

  • Support Procurement/GSPD with supplier audits and ensure outsourced ("Buy & Sell") products meet internal quality standards.

Quality Planning & Compliance

  • Support GSPD during new product launches, revising quality plans as needed.

  • Manage site quality inspection and release programs (raw materials, first piece, in-process, finished goods), calibrate all test equipment, and maintain a system for quality document collection, storage, and distribution.

  • Align site quality strategy with global objectives, execute internal audits, and implement global inspection plans and SOP metrics.

Metrics & Management Reviews

  • Collect, analyze, and report quality and productivity metrics on time, ensuring alignment with regional/global calendars, definitions, and cross-system data consistency.

Training & People Development

  • Manage direct reports with clear goals; develop regulatory and needs-based training plans.

  • Coach and mentor quality staff on problem-solving methodologies and quality tools.

Industrial Engineering & Operational Excellence

  • Conduct work and capacity studies; track data for plant capacity, output, scrap, efficiency, and incentives.

  • Lead continuous improvement projects, measure effectiveness, and submit weekly, monthly, and annual performance reports on time.

Global/Regional Coordination

  • Serve as an extension of the Global/Regional Quality Teams, responding to regional requests and executing special projects (e.g., sample collections, corrective action deployments).

  • Act as the site Quality Compliance Lead to maintain overall compliance programs.

Qualifications

  • BSc degree in Engineering, or other relevant field, required.

  • 5+ years’ experience in process management in a manufacturing organization.

  • Orientation to develop standard operating procedures and exposure to Lean Management tools and techniques for effective problem solving.

  • Experience with recognized Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO or similar industry standards, including audit procedures and certification processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams toward achieving targets and company deliverables within given timelines.

  • Ability to travel <10%
