Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Location: Longueuil, QC J4G 2H9
Job Duration: 4 months on T4

Job Description:
As a Production Quality Technician you will contribute to ensure adherence of products to the company s quality requirements. Reporting to the Production supervisor you will make sure products manufactured at the Longueuil site are meeting our excellence criteria .

Responsibilities
  • Perform Quality Control Inspections: Conduct regular inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Testing and Analysis: Utilize various testing equipment, tools, and techniques to perform quality checks, measurements, and analysis of products or processes, and document results accurately.
  • Document and Report: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and audits, documenting any non-conformities or deviations found. Prepare comprehensive reports and communicate findings to the relevant stakeholders
  • Quality Documentation: Assist in the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals.
  • Help prototype and validate electromechanical products and test fixtures, as per designs provided by the engineering team
  • Execute Durability, Electrical and Functional Validation Testing Activities for component, module and system level testing of our electronic products
  • Execute test plans for all phases of product testing, using test scripts, test fixtures and manual testing, in collaboration with HW/SW design teams to support validation testing activities
  • Manage Bill of Materials in the company s PLM software (Arena)

Requirements
  • Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in mechanical, electronics or industrial engineering, or in industrial automation, or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Quality or Engineering Technician, or in a similar quality control role.
  • Able to read and interpret technical specifications, including design drawings and schematics.
  • Basic design knowledge with either mechanical (SolidWorks, Ansys, etc.) or electrical (Altium, Eagle) design tools, an asset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. Able to work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to lift/move 50lbs of equipment as required in a warehouse environment.
  • Able to communicate in French and English effectively.
  • French mandatory for this position.
  • Proficiency in using measurement equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Sheet suite
