Description de posteQuickBooks experience desired Proficiency in Financial Statement Expertise in Post Journal Entries Foundational knowledge in year end closings Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening) Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data 1 year of relevant accounting experience necessary Applicants with an AA or BS / BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business are required for this position Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Public practice experience preferred

An entry-level Accountant position is available through Robert Half. This position would best suit a candidate with a positive attitude and who enjoys working with Excel and QuickBooks. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire entry-level Accountant role based in South Surrey, British Columbia. The Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager. - Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
- Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned
- Enter data
- Prepare journal entries
- Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Researching and correcting account discrepancies
