Batch Operator

Are you an experienced Batch Operator or Process Operator looking for a steady, straight-day shift in Brantford, Ontario? Randstad Operational has partnered with a leading chemical manufacturer to find a skilled individual to join their coatings department.

In this role within manufacturing & logistics, you will manage raw material staging, chemical batch mixing, equipment operation, and basic quality testing. This full-time position starts ASAP and offers a competitive rate of $22.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on your experience. You will work Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, in a clean, safety-focused facility that is accessible by local public transit.

This position is based in Brantford, Ontario, and is not a bilingual role requiring the English language as a condition of employment, which aligns with local hiring practices.

Responsibilities
Execute precise chemical batch mixing according to strict recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Weigh, measure, and stage liquid raw materials and chemical compounds for processing within manufacturing & logistics.
• Safely operate mixing vessels, pumps, agitators, and transfer lines.
• Conduct in-process quality control checks (viscosity, density, color matching, and pH levels).
• Troubleshoot process or equipment issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain accurate batch records, inventory logs, and safety documentation.
• Package finished liquid coatings into specified pails, drums, or tote containers.
• Perform routine tank clean-outs and basic preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to WHMIS, safe chemical handling practices, and plant safety regulations.


Qualifications
• Technical process operating experience within chemical manufacturing or industrial processing.
• Practical troubleshooting skills to resolve equipment and batch variations efficiently.
• Mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail for measuring raw formulas accurately.
• solid understanding of WHMIS protocols, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and chemical safety.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with production supervisors and team members.
. Prior experience as a Batch Operator or Chemical Process Operator in manufacturing.
• Proven knowledge of WHMIS protocols and safe chemical handling procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Legally entitled to work full-time in Canada.
