POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Health, Safety & Risk ("Manager HSR") is responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and continuous improvement of the Company's health, safety, risk management, emergency preparedness, and contractor management programs across all exploration and development activities.

Reporting to the VP Project Development, the Manager HSR serves as the Company's subject matter expert and advisor on occupational health and safety, operational risk management, regulatory compliance, and incident prevention. The role works closely with employees, contractors, consultants, Indigenous partners, and leadership to foster a proactive safety culture and ensure risks are effectively identified, assessed, mitigated, and monitored.

The Manager HSR is accountable for developing and maintaining management systems, policies, procedures, training programs, and reporting processes that support safe and responsible operations while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, industry standards, and corporate objectives.

This position requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience supporting mineral exploration, project development, and remote field operations in highly regulated environments, ideally within Québec or similar Canadian jurisdictions.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Health, Safety & Sustainability

· Champion a strong safety culture across all exploration and development activities

· Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Company's Health and Safety Management System

· Ensure health, safety, and risk management principles are incorporated into planning, field operations, and project development activities

· Promote employee and contractor engagement through safety leadership, coaching, communication, and continuous improvement initiatives

· Develop and maintain corporate health and safety standards, procedures, safe work practices, and management programs

· Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, leading indicators, trends, and improvement opportunities

Risk Management

· Develop and maintain a corporate risk management framework appropriate for exploration and project development activities

· Facilitate risk assessments and hazard identification processes for field programs, drilling campaigns, camp operations, transportation, contractors, and development projects

· Maintain and regularly update corporate and operational risk registers

· Work with operational leaders to ensure risk mitigation measures are implemented and effective

· Support business continuity planning and organizational resilience initiatives

· Identify emerging operational, safety, environmental, and strategic risks that may impact project objectives

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety legislation, mining regulations, industry standards, and corporate requirements

• Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to programs, procedures, and operational controls

• Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reviews

• Maintain documentation and reporting systems to support regulatory compliance and due diligence requirements

• Support permitting, project development, and technical teams by ensuring health and safety requirements are integrated into project planning

Incident Management & Emergency Preparedness

• Lead investigations of incidents, injuries, near misses, and significant hazards

• Facilitate root cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented and monitored

• Ensure incident reporting and tracking systems are accurate and up to date

• Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans for exploration camps, drilling programs, and project sites

• Coordinate emergency response training, drills, and exercises

• Provide crisis management support and recommendations during emergency situations

Leadership & Team Development

• Establish and lead the Company's project development function, serving as the primary point of coordination and oversight for consulting engineering firms, technical specialists, and other external service providers

• Select, engage, direct, and manage consulting engineering firms, contractors, and technical specialists, ensuring clear scope definition, accountability, budget control, and delivery of project objectives

• Develop the organizational structure, systems, and owner-team capabilities required to support project advancement, future project execution, and eventual operational readiness

Training & Competency Development

• Develop and administer health and safety orientation, training, and competency programs for employees and contractors

• Manage training records and monitor compliance with required certifications and training requirements

• Support supervisors and managers in delivering field-level safety communications, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments

• Identify competency gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen safety performance

Contractor Management

• Establish and maintain contractor health and safety requirements and performance standards

• Participate in contractor selection, onboarding, performance evaluations, and audits

• Ensure contractors understand and comply with Company policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations

• Work collaboratively with contractors to improve safety performance and risk management practices

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to employees, contractors, and management teams

• Develop annual health and safety objectives, plans, and improvement initiatives.

• Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and the Board regarding health, safety, and risk performance

• Support organizational growth by implementing industry best practices and continuously improving management systems and operational controls


What you Bring to Wallbridge:

· Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in health, safety, and risk management within mining, mineral exploration, construction, or heavy industry

· Demonstrated experience supporting remote exploration, drilling, camp operations, and development-stage mining projects

· Experience working with contractors, consultants, regulators, and Indigenous communities

· Experience supporting operations in remote and highly regulated jurisdictions, preferably Québec or similar Canadian mining environments


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills with the ability to cultivate a positive safety culture across all levels of the organization

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage employees, contractors, executive leadership, regulators, and external stakeholders

· Excellent report-writing, presentation, and documentation skills

· Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence


EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS

· Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Mining, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related discipline

· Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)

· Fluency in both French and English is required. Bilingualism (French and English) is required. Candidates must possess full professional proficiency in French (spoken and written) and be capable of leading meetings, communicating with regulators and stakeholders, reviewing technical documentation, and conducting day-to-day business activities in a Quebec-based operating environment.
