Description de posteReview and stamp electrical projects of all complexities and sizes Direct design strategies / concepts on complex projects for the following electrical systems : Lighting (indoor and outdoor) and lighting control systems Fire Alarm Systems Voice / data communications, Security / CCTV systems, public address, nurse call, and related infrastructure Provide technical leadership within the electrical team Lead audits, feasibility assessments and investigations and write corresponding reports. Support efforts in the continuous development of electrical design standards and practices. Mentor intermediate and junior level engineers and designers Involvement in troubleshooting construction issues Communicate with clients, contractors and sales reps, prepare project documentation and coordinate with other engineering disciplines Conduct site visits / reviews and construction phase services Other responsibilities as required Design experience for complex fire alarm and electrical systems in a variety of industry sectors including multi-unit residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial, and institutional. Significant exposure to troubleshooting on-site control issues Design experience for medium and / or high voltage system is an asset Extensive code knowledge including but not limited to : OBC, OESC, CSA and other referenced codes Engineering license in Ontario with 10+ years of design experience in the building construction industry and at least 5 years design experience in Canada. Pro-active approach to problem-solving and communicating with others Ability to multi-task and be organized, especially under the stress of deadlines Excellent communication, decision-making, and leadership skills Strong desire to work within a team and develop the skills of the team
