Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Developer with strong backend development experience and hands-on expertise in GitHub for source code management branching strategies code reviews CI/CD integration and collaborative development. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing scalable APIs microservices and cloud-native applications while following modern software engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain scalable backend applications using and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Build consume and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
Develop server-side logic database integrations and application workflows.
Utilize GitHub for:
- Repository management
- Branching and merging strategies
- Pull Requests (PRs)
- Code reviews
- Release management
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
Collaborate with Product Owners Architects QA and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Write unit integration and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
Optimize application performance scalability and security.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and actively participate in sprint ceremonies.
Required Skills
Strong experience with development.
Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6) and/or TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with GitHub including:
- Repository management
- Branching and merging strategies
- Pull Requests (PRs)
- Code reviews
- GitHub Actions
- Release management
Experience with NestJS or similar frameworks.
Strong knowledge of:
- REST APIs
- JSON
- JWT
- OAuth
- API security
Experience with databases such as:
- MongoDB
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- DynamoDB
Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as:
- AWS
- Azure
- GCP
Understanding of software development best practices design patterns and secure coding standards.
Preferred Skills
Experience with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD implementation.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as:
- Splunk
- Datadog
- Grafana
- ELK Stack
Experience working in Banking Financial Services or large Enterprise environments.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
