Diabetes Canada is here to helpproviding tools resources and support to make that journey us in leading with strength and compassion - so no one faces diabetes the Role Were seeking a Coordinator Community Fundraising & Events to support our Fund Development department. The Coordinator will support the Community Fundraising & EventsOfficer in achieving revenue and participation to the Manager Community Fundraising & Events the Coordinator Community Fundraising & Events will be responsible for logistic coordination. The will manage and lead the logistics for our annual golf tournaments and other Coordinator will be the frontline contact for Diabetes Canada and will be required to:Lead the two (2) annual Golf Events Stick it to Diabetes Program and other potential eventsWork with vendors sponsors volunteers and event participantsProvides administrative support to the portfolioWorking with Coordinators across DC to ensure business practices are followedAssist with management and organization of fundraising eventsContract Duration:6-Month ContractLocation: Our National Office is located atUniversity Avenue Toronto offer a flexible work arrangement allowing employees to work remotely or hybrid; with occasional expectation to be on-site for team meetings event coordination and event attendance. The successful candidate must reside in the GTA. Note: For this role a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle : Thehiring salary range for this role is $ 62000 - $64000 annually depending on skills and experience with meeting the requirements of the Youll DoRevenue Generation SupportSupport the team in meeting or exceeding annual fundraising goals by assisting the execution of various fundraising events and programs in alignment with regional and national with team members to identify and maximize event revenue generation opportunities e.g. ticket sales silent auctions raffles table sales teams golf foursomes with team members on the solicitation and follow up with sponsors and other event two (2) annual Golf Tournament Events and our annualStick it to Diabetes ProgramWork on growing the events portfolio by seeking growth and other creative revenue opportunitiesEvent SupportWork with team members to identify steward and develop implementation plans to carry out at Special Events at the local support for the marketing strategy and implementation for Special Events and possible sponsors for Signature Events and Peer to Peer Fundraising as well as move management opportunities. Responsible for event administration database management and financial reconciliation in partnership with other Coordinators across the Fund Development impact reports and event summaries for all and track inventory of all event supplies at our storage : This role is not limited to the responsibilities listed above and may include other duties as You BringPost-secondary education in a relevant program or equivalent experience1 -2 years work experience in fundraising sales event coordination marketing and/or not-for-profit Demonstrated experience working on special events and working with volunteersExperience with email marketing social media and with tools such as communication skillsExperience with digital technologyAchievement-oriented; a goal-setterHighly organized with strong attention to detailFlexible and responsiveCollaborative relationship-builderComputer proficiency including experience with social mediaWorking Conditions:Occasional evening and weekend workThe role is expected to travel to attend eventsCandidate must have a valid drivers license and vehicleWhy Join UsAt Diabetes Canada youll play a meaningful role in making a difference every day for people living with or at risk of diabetes.
