Department: Marketing and Revenue Operations

Location: Toronto, ON (Full-Time, In-Office), with travel to tradeshows and conferences as required

Employment type: Full-time

Overview

CannDelta is a regulatory and scientific consulting firm that helps small businesses and startups launch and grow in cannabis and other highly regulated, emerging industries. With offices in Toronto, New York, and New Jersey, we guide clients through complex licensing and regulatory requirements to build compliant, successful operations. Our team includes consultants with PhDs, MScs, MBAs, and government experience, offering deep expertise across regulatory frameworks and scientific matters. We provide turn‑key licensing services and strategic guidance that move clients quickly from concept to market. Joining CannDelta means owning work that has a direct, visible impact on that growth.

Role Overview

The Revenue Marketing Manager owns CannDelta's marketing and its vision, and is accountable for its impact on revenue. This is a leadership role, not a production role. You set the direction, decide what we run and why, and direct CannDelta's internal marketing team to execute it. You understand the revenue purpose behind every activity: why a given webinar exists, which campaign it belongs to, what number it is meant to move, and how that shows up in Salesforce.

You plan the calendar up to a year ahead, hold the team to it, and give leadership a reliable, defensible read on what marketing is contributing to pipeline and revenue. Day‑to‑day execution (graphics, web, blog, video, and event logistics) is carried out by the internal marketing team under your direction. Your job is to make sure the right work happens: on brand, on time, and tied to a measurable outcome. You can step in hands‑on when a moment calls for it, but directing and delegating is the default.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Vision

  • Own the vision. Set CannDelta's marketing direction and priorities, and make the call on what we run, when, and why.
  • Tie every activity to a purpose. Ensure each campaign, webinar, and event maps to a clear objective, a target audience, and a pipeline or revenue outcome, not activity for its own sake.
  • Translate strategy into a plan. Turn direction into a concrete campaign calendar, and hand clear, prioritized briefs to the marketing team to execute.

Revenue Operations and Marketing Attribution

  • Tie effort to money. Trace the path from channel to revenue: content and channels (YouTube, web, social, webinars, events) to web and phone inbounds, to opportunities created, to service agreements signed, to final payment.
  • Campaign and cost tracking. Ensure every campaign is built and maintained in Salesforce with complete cost data, broken out by category: registration, airfare, hotels, ground transport (taxis and rideshare), per diems, marketing materials, shipping, and booth costs.
  • Monthly growth and attribution report. Report web traffic growth, web and phone inbound volume, social audience growth (Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube), and video performance (views, engagement, subscriber growth, top performers), with a clear narrative on what drove each movement (a campaign, an event, a regulatory update) and what to do next.
  • Quarterly business review. Present marketing's contribution to leadership: traffic, inbound demand, pipeline influenced, conference ROI, and cost per lead, with recommendations for the next quarter.
  • Attribution plumbing. Maintain source capture (for example, a 'how did you hear about us' field on web forms and Salesforce web-to-lead) so attribution stays reliable.
  • Lead handoff. Ensure webinar registrant and inbound lead lists reach Salesforce and sales promptly.

Team Direction and Delivery

  • Direct the marketing team. Assign and prioritize execution work (graphics, web, blog, video, landing pages) across CannDelta's internal marketing team and any supporting vendors, and hold it to deadlines.
  • Quality‑control the output. Review what the team produces for accuracy, brand, and fit before it ships, including AI‑assisted drafts. Anything carrying the company's name is your accountability.
  • Brand and version control. Enforce brand consistency and version discipline across all assets, so every deck and flyer carries a title, date, event, and version.
  • Produce when it counts. Step in to write or build directly when a moment genuinely calls for it, without letting it become the default.

Campaign Planning, Success, and Marketing Calendar Ownership

  • Own the calendar. Plan CannDelta campaigns up to twelve months in advance while staying zoomed in on what matters most right now.
  • Quiet‑period plan. Build a contingency plan for stretches with no events, which can run up to twelve months. During those windows, pivot spend and effort into evergreen content, the existing client base, and deeper promotion of current services.

Webinar and Demand‑Generation Program

  • Own the program, not just the event. Know why each webinar exists, which campaign it serves, and what outcome it targets. Direct the team on concept, advertising, landing page and registration form (connected to Salesforce), script, speaker coordination, pre‑recording, editing, live airing, and follow‑up.
  • Always set the next step. Define the call to action at the close of every webinar so each event feeds the next campaign.
  • Manage the handoff. Ensure registrations are tracked and the lists are routed to sales.

Event and Tradeshow Operations

  • Own the industry calendar. Maintain a calendar of industry dates, shows, and conferences, and take the initiative to prepare for each one without being asked.
  • Direct event logistics. Ensure updated flyers are designed, printed, and shipped to the venue on time; booth materials are reconciled (what we have versus what needs to be sent); and registration, travel, and booth bookings are handled, coordinating the team and vendors to make it happen.
  • Measure it. Track ROI per conference and feed it into the monthly attribution report.

Regulatory and Market Intelligence

  • Research the states. Track US state regulatory developments for legal cannabis and maintain a forward calendar of upcoming windows, deadlines, and milestones.
  • Give early visibility. Flag timelines early so campaigns and sales outreach are timed to the opportunity.
  • Brief the team. Prepare and deliver concise training for sales and operations on key dates, timelines, and need‑to‑know basics for each upcoming opportunity, and build the marketing campaign that supports it.

What Success Looks Like

  • Marketing has a clear owner and a clear vision, and leadership can see the line from spend to pipeline to revenue.
  • Every activity has a stated purpose and a number attached; nothing runs just because.
  • The calendar is planned a year out and executed on time by the team, with no last‑minute scramble before events.
  • Every campaign in Salesforce carries complete cost data, so ROI is measurable, not estimated.
  • Webinars and events generate clean lead lists that reach sales quickly.
  • Sales and operations are briefed ahead of each regulatory opportunity, not after it has passed.
  • Anything that carries the company's name, including drafts, is reviewed and verified for accuracy and quality before it ships.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years in marketing, revenue marketing, marketing operations, or growth marketing, with time spent owning a function or a number end‑to‑end, ideally in B2B or professional services.
  • Experience directing a marketing team, agency, or vendors, and being accountable for outcomes you did not personally execute.
  • Hands‑on Salesforce experience, including campaigns, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • A track record of tying marketing activity to pipeline and revenue, and of telling the story behind the numbers.
  • Strong marketing analytics: Google Analytics, Search Console, YouTube and social analytics, and a working grasp of attribution.
  • Excellent project management: able to plan a year ahead and execute the current week, across other people's work as well as your own.
  • Strong business writing, and the judgment to brief, edit, and hold a quality bar across blogs, scripts, and reports.
  • A self‑starter who takes initiative, sets direction, and owns outcomes end‑to‑end.
  • Accountable for accuracy: comfortable reviewing and correcting AI‑assisted output before it goes out.

Strong Assets

  • Webinar and event production experience.
  • Experience in regulated industries (cannabis, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals).
  • Working knowledge of cannabis regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and AI search optimization (GEO).
  • Hands‑on video editing, filming, or design, useful for directing the work even if you will not own day‑to‑day production.

Growth and attribution report // Monthly

Campaign and event status // Weekly

Rolling marketing calendar (twelve months ahead) // Maintained ongoing

Regulatory timeline tracker and team briefings // Ongoing, ahead of each window

Compensation and Growth

CannDelta pays for ownership and results, and this role is built to grow. For the right person, it is a starting point on a path into marketing leadership.

  • Room to grow quickly. Strong, measurable performance opens the door to early compensation increases, rather than waiting for a standard annual cycle.
  • A path to Leadership. This position is designed to allow for growth into a more senior role in our young and growing company, as you prove the function's impact on revenue and take on a broader scope.
  • Also included. A full benefits package, professional development support, and company‑covered travel to industry events.
