Role: .Net Developer with App support experience

We are seeking a .NET Developer with strong experience in application maintenance, support, and enhancement activities. The role requires hands-on expertise in
VB.NET /
ASP.NET or C#, solid understanding of MVC architecture, 2-tier and 3-tier application models, and experience working with web services, APIs, and SQL Server-based backend systems. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring application stability, resolving production issues, and delivering continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end application maintenance and production support for .NET-based systems.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, performance issues, and user-reported incidents.
Implement enhancements, minor changes, and continuous improvements to existing applications.
Develop and maintain applications using
ASP.NET,
VB.NET and/or C# with MVC framework.
Work with 2-tier and 3-tier architecture involving UI, business logic, and data access layers.
Design, develop, and consume REST/SOAP web services and APIs for system integration.
Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, functions, and database interactions.
Perform impact analysis, root cause analysis, and ensure resolution within SLAs.
Participate in release management, code deployments, regression testing, and documentation.
Collaborate with business users, QA teams, and cross-functional IT teams to ensure solution stability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Hands-on experience in .NET technologies including
ASP.NET,
VB.NET or C#.
Strong understanding of MVC design pattern and layered architecture (2-tier / 3-tier).
Experience in application support, bug fixing, and enhancement delivery.
Working knowledge of web services (REST/SOAP) and API integration.
Strong SQL Server skills including stored procedures, performance tuning, and data handling.
Good understanding of debugging, logging, exception handling, and application monitoring.
Experience working in structured SDLC or Agile environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience with IIS, .NET Core / modern .NET frameworks.
Exposure to DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and application monitoring tools.
Experience in BFSI / insurance or other regulated environments.
Knowledge of performance optimization and code refactoring practices.
