The Opportunity
As the Junior Real Estate Lawyer, you will play an active role in supporting a variety of residential and commercial real estate matters from file opening through to closing. You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, lenders, realtors, and senior counsel while gaining valuable exposure to all aspects of the transaction process.
This role is well-suited to a lawyer with 1–3 years of experience who is looking to continue growing their career in real estate law and take on increasing responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and assist with residential and commercial real estate transactions
- Review Agreements of Purchase and Sale and supporting documentation
- Draft and prepare closing documents, title documents, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research related to real estate matters and applicable regulations
- Communicate with clients, lenders, brokers, and other legal professionals throughout the transaction process
- Provide clients with clear and professional legal guidance and support
- Maintain accurate and organized file management practices
- Work collaboratively with lawyers, clerks, and administrative staff to ensure efficient file progression and successful closings

Requirements
LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited law school
Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
Approximately 1–3 years of experience practicing real estate law
Exposure to residential real estate transactions is strongly preferred
Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Professional, client-focused, and eager to learn
