Course number and title: PPG1008H-S - Program Evaluation for Public Policy
Course description: This course will introduce students to both quantitative and qualitative methods in program evaluation for public policy. Students will gain an understanding of when and how to use various methods of program evaluation and will be exposed to both theoretical concepts and case studies.

Class schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays 2-5pm

Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2027 - April 30, 2027

Salary: Sessional Lecturer I - $9,997.48 (includes 4% vacation pay) | Sessional Lecturer I, Long Term - $10,699.22 (includes 6% vacation pay) | Sessional Lecturer II - $10,699.22 (includes 6% vacation pay) | Sessional Lecturer II (Long Term - $10,953.96 (includes 6% vacation pay) | Sessional Lecturer III - $10,953.96 (includes 6% vacation pay) | Sessional Lecturers III (Long Term) - $11,228.90 (includes 6% vacation pay) Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
Minimum qualifications: Graduate degree in the field of Public Policy, Economics, Sociology is required. Demonstrated leadership experience in these subject matters in the public sector is required.
Preferred qualifications: Two years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level preferred.
Description of duties: Teaching the first 6-weeks of both sections of this course at the graduate level, developing the syllabus, teaching three-hour classes, providing weekly office hours for academic counselling of students, preparing and delivering course material, preparing and delivering assignments and tests, marking student work and submitting grades.
