Supply Chain Manager

Reports To : Operations Manager
Compensation : $65,000 - $80,000 + Bonus & Benefits

The company is in a major phase of growth and is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join their team.
Strategic Skills
As a vital member of the production management team, you will manage inventory to optimize working capital investment while providing ongoing support to the Operations Manager in the following areas :
Work with Sales to establish stock levels to ensure orders ship complete on top items.
Work with a family of long-term suppliers to order raw materials that arrive for scheduled production runs.
Must have experience orchestrating inventory counts with shop-floor leadership staff.
Procurement & Order Management
Manage purchasing documentation, including requisitions, purchase orders, cancellations, and customs forms.
Confirm orders with suppliers, resolve delays, and ensure timely deliveries.
Coordinate purchase orders with production schedules to reduce outages.
Supplier & Vendor Relations
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships so the company is in sync with supplier production.
Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
Resolve issues related to quality, costs, and delivery discrepancies.
Operational & Strategic Support
Help implement procurement procedures to support scalability.
Support supplier transitions and logistics during acquisitions.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager on scheduling.
Cost Management & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to reduce costs through better sourcing and material optimization.
Research and assist in sourcing new materials and vendors.
Ability to occasionally contact suppliers overseas between 9 : 00 p.m. – 11 : 00 p.m. a few times per month. Flexible scheduling is provided as required.
Qualifications

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum 5+ years of purchasing experience in a custom manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production-floor experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Excel is an essential skill, testing may be provided
Strong knowledge of purchasing and material planning principles.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is a strong asset.
PMAC or SCMP designation is considered an asset.
