Job Summary

We are recruiting a Neuro-ophthalmologist to support the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre. Consultations will occur at Level 3G JPOCSC for patients referred by neurology or ophthalmology colleagues, transfer of care from other neuro-ophthalmology staff BC-wide, GPs, optometrists, and other medical subspecialists, as well as transfers from all FH ER and inpatient sites.

The successful candidate will join an existing team of neurologists and neuro-ophthalmologists providing neuro-ophthalmic care. This is a 0.1 position with no expected on-call services at SMH and other FHA sites. Clinic days are available for half or full days on Thursdays, 2-4 days per month.

Candidates with a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship completed after ophthalmology or neurology residency are welcomed. There are opportunities for involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education through UBC, especially if a clinical appointment with UBC exists or is desired.

Qualifications

The candidate must have, or be eligible for, FRCPC registration in Neurology at the time of application and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
