The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, External Reporting, you will play a key role in the quarterly and annual close process, financial statement preparation, and month end close. You will continue to grow your knowledge of external reporting requirements and IFRS as part of the team responsible for preparation of external financial statements and MD&A.

Base Salary: $59, – $87, CAD base pay annually
The above base salary reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours.
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Preparation of financial statements, financial statement notes and MD&A sections for external reporting
- Assisting in the period/quarter/year-end close process, including completion of monthly management reporting
- Preparation of journal entries into SAP and Business Planning Consolidation (BPC);
- Preparation of the monthly consolidation and intercompany balancing
- Support the external audit and reviews through preparation of responses to inquiries
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and follow-ups;
- Assist External Reporting Finance and other functional groups with specific requests or analysis of account balances;
- Perform ad hoc financial accounting analysis and financial reporting as required; and
- Other duties and special projects, as required.

What You’ll Bring:
- Enrolled and working toward an Accounting Designation
- Experience with public company reporting whether through public accounting or experience with at a public company
- University degree Finance/Accounting
- Ability to work with a positive attitude and in a professional manner
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives
