Job Overview
Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the Property Administrator is responsible for the professional management, administration and leasing of a Centurion Property Associates Inc. apartment community. The role ensures all real‑property assets are maintained efficiently and within established budgets and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and foster positive relationships with co‑workers, vendors and residents.
- Handle resident inquiries, feedback, complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operate properties according to Centurion’s corporate standards and approved budgets.
- Respond to resident questions, concerns or complaints promptly and compassionately.
- Prepare and administer written correspondence with residents, including building notices, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in the preparation of work and purchase orders, attaching quotes received from service providers and following up on maintenance orders.
- Maintain building inventories and logs, including month‑end packaging.
- Market, show and rent apartments, responding to telephone and walk‑in inquiries.
- Conduct tenant screening : reference checks, credit checks, and submit post‑lease checklists.
- Notify applicants of landlord decisions and handle deposits.
- Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning and faxing documents.
- Retrieve and distribute incoming mail and packages.
- Report deficiencies or problems to the Senior Property Manager and assist in their resolution.
- Respond to emergencies and implement fire and safety procedures.
- Complete any other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Grade 12 education; relevant post‑secondary education preferred.Experience in property management considered an asset.Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi‑task.Independent worker who thrives in a team environment.Ability to work in a deadline‑oriented setting.Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills using facts and common sense.Forward‑thinking with the ability to develop creative strategic solutions in a timely manner.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Commitment to discretion and confidentiality.Experience with Yardi property‑management systems considered an asset.Benefits
