Job Title : Technical Analyst V
Overview
The Technical Analyst V is responsible for researching and evaluating emerging technologies to address business needs and drive value, efficiency, and innovation across operational services for both internal and external stakeholders.
This role identifies key business drivers and opportunities, and works closely with cross-functional teams to develop business cases, strategies, and technology solutions. The Technical Analyst V owns initiatives end-to-end—from concept through implementation—using Agile methodologies to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects, applications, processes, and systems.
The role is hands-on, with a strong focus on financial process configuration and management within Workday Finance , as well as stakeholder and vendor management.
Work Arrangement
This position follows a hybrid work model , requiring :
- 2 days per week onsite
- 3 days per week remote
Key Responsibilities
Lead or support IT and business initiatives, managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.Configure, manage, and support financial systems, including workflows, security, integrations, and system settings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, identify key drivers, assess impacts, and uncover improvement opportunities.Develop business cases, strategies, and recommendations, including benefits analysis, cost estimates, implementation approaches, and training plans.Partner with business users to understand requirements, identify inefficiencies, and improve workflows and processes.Support validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet end-user and business needs.Act as Project Manager or Scrum Master for smaller initiatives.Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration notes, and user training materials.Support release readiness activities to ensure smooth deployment and adoption of new features.Manage system updates, patches, and enhancements while minimizing disruption to day-to-day operations.Manage relationships with business stakeholders and third-party vendors, including performance evaluation criteria and delivery oversight.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience , with a focus on business and systems analysis, assessment, and research.Minimum 5 years of Workday Finance experience .Minimum 2 years of end-to-end Workday Finance implementation experience , including modules such as :General LedgerAccounts ReceivableAccounts PayableBillingMinimum 2 years of experience with FDM, Worktags, BIRT, APIs , and exposure to Workday Studio .Experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies .Strong background in evaluating alternative solutions and recommending technology designs that exceed business requirements.Project management experience in collaborative Agile environments.Experience managing external technology vendors.Key Competencies
