Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, IT, Infrastructure and Information Security, the Systems Analyst is responsible to plan and manage a variety of projects, provide technical support for the WRHN servers and infrastructure, and conduct planning, analysis and design work to ensure the efficient sharing of information between clinical and corporate systems. Other responsibilities include providing support to operations through active engagement of clinical, business and project stakeholders and utilization of change and project management principles to achieve stable and reliable infrastructure platforms.

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities

• Design and build HL7, FHIR, and other integration interfaces between EMR and external systems; experience with Oracle Cerner is preferred.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor interfaces using integration engines such as Cloverleaf or Cerner Open Engine.
• Support the development and maintenance of API and web service integrations to align with modern interoperability frameworks.
• Conduct end-to-end interface testing (unit, integration, and regression) in collaboration with clinical, business, and vendor stakeholders.
• Validate message flows, data mappings, and transformation logic to ensure accurate, timely, and secure data exchange.
• Analyze business and system requirements to design scalable and efficient integration solutions.
• Document integration architecture, configuration, and operational procedures in accordance with internal standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to interface connectivity, message transmission, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and information security teams to ensure systems comply with WRHN security and privacy standards.
• Participate in risk assessments, RFP / RFQ activities, and vendor evaluations related to integration technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation and process optimization opportunities.
