Business Analyst - Guidewire Policy Centre

Exp. Required - 8 years

Skills Required : Guidewire Policy Centre and Config Developer

Hands-on experience with Guidewire Policy Centre, including its configuration and the development of Product Models, is crucial.
Strong understanding of the insurance industry, including personal and commercial lines, is necessary to effectively translate business needs into system requirements.
In-depth knowledge of insurance business processes for commercial and personal lines, including underwriting, policy administration, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to create functional specifications, process models, and data mappings.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively gather requirements, resolve conflicts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with requirements management tool, JIRA for documenting user stories and defects.
Thorough knowledge of Agile principles and experience working in a Scrum environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential risks and issues within projects.
Completion of L3 training in Guidewire Policy centre certifications, Insurance domain certifications

Job Description :

Analyses business and technical needs, translating them into detailed user stories, process flows, and functional specifica-tions for insurance companies using the Guidewire Policy Centre platform

Gathering requirements from stakeholders, documenting requirements for policy issuance, underwriting, and renewals, supporting development and testing, and ensuring the system meets organizational goals

Strong insurance domain knowledge, experience with Agile methodologies, and familiarity with Guidewire configurations are essential

Conduct interviews and sessions to gather detailed business and technical requirements from various stakeholders, includ-ing business owners and subject matter experts (SMEs).

Create comprehensive documentation, such as user stories, use cases, process flow diagrams, and acceptance criteria, to clearly define system functionalities and enhancements.

Analyse requirements for Guidewire Policy Centre to assess their impact on the system, other business units, and potential integration points.

Leverage knowledge of Guidewire configurations and out-of-the-box (OOTB) functions to develop detailed requirements for policy administration, quoting, and issuance.

Actively participate in Agile (Scrum) meetings, collaborate with developers, and work with the Scrum Master to manage the product backlog and estimate efforts for user stories.

Provide detailed input for system testing, including validation criteria and test cases, to ensure the Guidewire applications meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

Serve as a subject matter expert on Guidewire Policy Centre, providing guidance and support to the business and IT teams.

Identify and support process improvement opportunities, focusing on enhancing scalability, reusability, and supportability within the Guidewire platform.
