AI Specialist - Interior Design Visualization

DesignAgency is currently looking for a creative and technically skilled AI Specialist to join our visualization team. Reporting to the Director of Visualization and Technology, this role will develop and manage AI-generated visuals, content, and renderings across all phases of design projects. The ideal candidate will have an interior design, architectural and landscape concepting, and/or visualization background, and understands spatial aesthetics, materiality, lighting, and composition while leveraging the latest AI tools to enhance visualization, storytelling, and workflow efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality AI-generated images and motion graphics, mood boards, concepts, and design studies using tools such image generation models as Flux, Seedream, Nano Banana, Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, or similar platforms
• Maintain consistency with brand aesthetics and project design direction across all AI-generated outputs
• Collaborate with designers to iterate quickly on ideas, exploring multiple stylistic and spatial directions
• Manage and contribute to prompt libraries, templates, and best practices to streamline repeated tasks
• Enhance traditional 3D renderings using AI post-processing techniques, including detail refinement, lighting optimization, material improvements, and style unification
• Generate supplementary visual material, videos, and animations of alternate views, color schemes, finishes, or furniture options using AI-assisted tools
• Partner with Designers to integrate AI workflows into existing rendering and design development pipelines
• Support concept development, schematic design, and design development phases with rapid AI visual exploration
• Create AI-assisted presentations, diagrams, and storytelling assets to aid client communication
• Experiment with generative AI for space planning, material suggestions, or digital prototyping where appropriate
• Contribute to researching emerging AI tools, plugins, and workflows relevant to interior design and architectural visualization
• Train and mentor the design team on effective AI usage, prompt writing, and ethical considerations
• Assist with establishing and updating guidelines to ensure responsible, high-quality AI implementation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in interior design, architectural and landscape concepting, and/or visualization
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Interior Design
• Experience with generative AI image and video tools (e.g., Flux, Seedream, Nano Banana, Kling, etc. ) and AI-assisted 3D generation or reconstruction tools
• Proficiency with 3D rendering and visualization software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, 3ds Max, D5) is an asset
• Strong understanding of interior design principles- composition, lighting, materials, finishes, and spatial storytelling
• Ability to write effective prompts and iterate quickly based on feedback
• Ability to adapt to changing workflow based on tech innovation
• Strong visual sensibility and attention to detail
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite for post-processing and layout
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills and the ability to effectively work with colleagues from junior to partner level
• Proven ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight time constraints
