This position will commence as soon as a successful candidate is found and will end June 29, 2027. Under the direction of the classroom teacher, Learning Support and Administrative teams, the successful candidate will provide one-on-one, small group, and class wide student support in inclusive classroom settings.Desired qualifications include the following:Experience working in an inclusive settingDemonstrate an ability to build relationships with students who require patience and flexibility with programmingDemonstrate an understanding of self-regulation, and has experience utilizing self-regulation tools with studentsAbility to attend to student personal care; including toiletingAbility to work collaboratively with the School Support Team and outside agenciesAbility to work independently to follow goals and implement strategies as determined by the school team and service providers, along with data collection as requiredExperience working with the visually impaired and/or a knowledge of braille is an assetExperience with therapeutic sensory programming is an assetCertification from accredited Teaching Assistant Program or equivalent is an assetSIVA training/certification is an asset Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.Horace Allen School located in Coleman, Alberta is a Pre-K - Grade 3 School with approximately 180 students.
