Learning and Development Designer

Cella by Randstad Digital is actively recruiting on behalf of a industry-leading corporate institution for a Learning & Development Designer/Developer. This full-time contract role offers a 12-month initial term with strong potential for extension or permanent conversion based on business needs and performance.

Operating on a hybrid schedule (4 days on-site, 1 day remote) out of either Markham, ON or Ottawa, ON, you will join a collaborative team responsible for designing, building, and deploying impactful blended learning solutions across national operations.

Responsibilities
Conduct needs analyses to design, develop, and deliver high-quality blended learning and performance solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Create diverse digital learning assets, including online modules, visual performance tools, interactive e-learning, and graphic-rich media while prioritizing accessibility, diversity, and inclusion principles.

Partner with cross-functional internal teams and subject matter experts to gather requirements, scope initiatives, and translate complex concepts into clear, practical content.

Produce high-level presentation and communication materials tailored for senior leadership updates.

Manage multiple instructional design projects end-to-end, maintaining project timelines, quality standards, and continuous alignment with key stakeholders.

Stay current on emerging educational technology trends, sharing knowledge and best practices within the design team.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Educational Technology, or a closely related field.

Professional Experience: 5+ years of direct experience in instructional design and curriculum development.

Technical Authoring Tools: High proficiency in eLearning software including Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, and video creation software (such as Powtoon).

Creative & Digital Software: Strong hands-on experience using Adobe Creative Suite alongside standard business applications (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio).

Executive Communication: Demonstrated ability to craft presentations and strategic communication assets aimed at leadership levels.

Core Competencies: Excellent project management abilities, strong attention to detail, and proven problem-solving and influencing skills.

Asset: Prior instructional design experience within a financial services or banking environment is preferred.
