Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for overseeing the Private Banking domain end‐to‐end, creating solutions that align with current requirements and strategically support future state.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:Prepare solution designs and estimate deliverables according to Scotiabank's policies, standards and templates based on business, project and systems specsProduce and maintain architectural and design documentation to support Private Banking business needsCollaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, and maintain different applicationsClosely work with business partners to align on immediate needs and future state requirements.Apply innovative approaches to developing process improvements and solutionsInteract with stakeholders to collaborate, align and resolve issuesLead the team with a continuous improvement mindset, actively promote inclusivity and trust, encouraging an environment of curiosity and experimentationEnsure all solutions adhere to enterprise architecture principles, regulatory requirements and industry best practicesAct with urgency and criticality, evaluate blockers, identify actions, and assist the team to recommend/implement solutionsSkillsBachelor (equivalent or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.5+ years architecture experience in creating and managing enterprise architectures and solutionsWell‐versed in contemporary engineering practices such as cloud computing, microservices, CI/CD, test automation, and DevOps. Demonstrated success in delivering complex, highly available platforms serving customers.Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on‐premise to cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.Experience building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global‐based systems.Experience in network infrastructure, security, data, or application development.Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.Outstanding communication, relationship management and problem‐solving skills.Skilled at balancing strategic vision with hands‐on executionWhat's in it for you?Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Allyship – We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and embraced through bias‐free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank.
