Orthopedic Surgeon

Job Description

The successful candidate will join our team to provide comprehensive orthopedic services to the patients of southwest Saskatchewan at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. Special interest in hip and knee arthroplasty is necessary. The scope of practice includes inpatient and outpatient care, emergency consults and specialist on-call coverage. Elective OR runs from 07:45 to 16:00 hours.

Relocation Package

The Specialist Recruitment Incentive program, which provides $30,000 to an eligible specialist that establishes a practice for a minimum of thirty-six months in a Saskatchewan community.
The SMA Retention Fund, which provides a financial reward to physicians who practise in the province for extended periods ranging from $7,000 - $14,000 per year for full-time work

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a Fellow (or be eligible for Fellowship) with the in Orthopedics. Candidates should be eligible for licensure with the .

Preference will be given to University of Saskatchewan graduates and individuals with strong ties to Saskatchewan. This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family-centered care.
