Description de posteMinimum of 2-3 years Accident Benefits claims handling experience Well-honed negotiation skills Through knowledge of the legislation that governs these benefits (SABS) Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Exceptional communication skills both written and oral Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with strong decision-making skills Post- secondary education in a related field, and / or working towards CIP designation would be preferred
Position Details
What You Will Do
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate personal lines Accident Benefit claims of moderate to high complexity
- Timely, accurate reserving in line with Corporate protocols and guidelines
- Maintain control over expenses through pro-active handling techniques
- Direct vendor partners as necessary
- Obtain approval from Manager on claims above authority
- Manage claims in litigation, participate in mediations, pre-trials and settlement conferences
