Senior Mechanical Designer

The Senior Mechanical Designer supports the development of mechanical components for Sonova hearing products, from early concept through product launch. This role focuses on high-precision design, hands-on problem solving, and collaboration with production teams to ensure quality, functionality, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop precision plastic and sheet‑metal components for miniature, injection‑molded products using Creo (Pro / ENGINEER)
• Create and document inspection criteria for components and materials
• Participate in engineering problem‑solving throughout development, tooling, and molding stages
• Conduct hands‑on prototyping and testing from concept to mass production
• Inspect parts for compliance with design intent and quality standards
• Collaborate with tool and molding suppliers during fabrication and commissioning
• Support production and Quality Assurance by analyzing and resolving mechanical and assembly‑related issues
