Ashley Canada is currently seeking a Full Time Sales Associate for our St. Catharine's store located at 285 Geneva St. This position is being posted to fill an immediate staffing need within the department. We are actively seeking qualified candidates who can step into the role and contribute to the team as soon as possible. As a Sales Team Member with us you will be the face of the Ashley brand for our guests, helping them to find the perfect pieces to make their space a home. You will be backed by the support and coaching of your Store Leaders and Sales Managers who create a fun and collaborative sales environment.

Responsibilities
Provide product knowledge, features and benefits to help inform our guests’ purchase decisionsMeet or exceed sales and productivity goalsEnsure stock availability when making a saleEnter sales orders accurately and take paymentsManage open orders and delivery timelinesDevelop and maintain a prospect system including outbound calls, leads generated from eCommerce chats, web, telesales, appointments and walk-in trafficMaintain knowledge of competitor pricing, programs, products, and serviceConstantly improve your product knowledge and sales skills by actively engaging in Professional Development programs, Manager coaching and online learningQualifications
High school diploma2+ years sales experience in retail, commissioned sales, marketing, or related areas is preferredProven selling skills, including demonstrating a strong sales approachAble to create, design and coordinate attractive room settings is desirableExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skillsWell-organized, ability to follow through tasks to completionExperience with MS Office products and ability to learn in-house computer programs and technologyMust be available to work long hours standing, including days, evenings, and weekendsMust be able to lift and move products up to 30 pounds without a lifting deviceAI tools may be used during the hiring process to screen, assess or select applicants for the position.
