Water / Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer

GFT  is building a pipeline of Water / Wastewater Treatment Process Engineering talent to join our Water team in either Toronto, Mississauga or Ottawa ON.  This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Toronto, Mississauga or Ottawa office.

What you'll be challenged to do :

• Undertake the design of both public and private sector municipal servicing projects (. sewage pumping stations and water booster stations, elevated tanks, reservoirs, and water / wastewater treatment systems) including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and / or funding agencies.
• Coordinate the design with review / input from the various municipal / utility / approval agencies / stakeholders and obtain all necessary approvals.
• Liaise with clients, municipalities, and other agencies to secure approvals.
• Assist developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
• Prepare contract documents for construction (. engineering drawings and specifications).
• May conduct construction inspection services and construction administration.
• May provide services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
• Participate in constructability review.
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
• Mentor recently hired junior team members on the various facets of municipal infrastructure design.
• Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision.

Compensation :

The salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $126,000.00 dependent upon experience and geographic location.
