Role :

The forklift operator is responsible for receiving, inspecting, moving, and shipping products.

Section 1. Description of Tasks and Responsibilities

1.1 Apple Reception

  • Responsible for receiving apples and empty apple boxes
  • Perform quality checks on apples upon reception
  • Identify apple varieties to create identification labels
  • Enter apple-related information into the system
  • Store apples in controlled atmosphere rooms and cold storage rooms

    • 1.2 Apple Shipping

  • Ensure proper rotation of raw materials during shipping
  • Perform quality checks on apples before shipping

    • 1.3 Other Tasks

  • Stack and separate empty apple boxes
  • Perform basic forklift maintenance
  • Replace the supervisor when needed

    • Section 2. Required Skills and Training

    2.1 Skills

  • Experience operating a forklift (1–3 years) is an asset
  • Ability to work physically in challenging weather conditions
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively
  • Good computer skills
  • Forklift driving experience (1-3 years) an asset.
  • Ability to work physically in difficult climatic conditions.
