Location : Toronto

Hybrid : 2-3 days

Contract Duration : 4 months with high possibility of extension

Conversion to FTE : Yes, based on performance and business needs.

Business group : CRT - Credit Risk Technology team

Project : Audit and Regulatory related.

Contributes to the overall success of the Credit Risk Technology team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution.
• Support the bank’s counterparty credit risk technology stack to ensure that calculations and reports are accurate and timely.
• Propose, design, and implement technology solutions to address business needs and support trading and reporting activities.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Bank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
• Champions a high performance culture and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

Best VS. Average Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a very strong Developer with proficient hands on experience with Python and Java. Previously worked on GCP cloud is highly preferred. Expert with Unix / Linux environment, shell scripting and RDMS including Oracle, PostgreSQL or Sybase. Previous experience with Capital markets / Credit Risk Technology projects is highly preferred.
