Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Hours: Day shift Monday-Thursday 7:00am to 4:30am and Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
What You'll Do:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machine.
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce outputs according to specifications.
- Inspect and measure finished products and parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g. Micrometers, Vernier calipers) while infilling and cleaning engraving in a timely manner.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Analyze job order and performs necessary calculations.
- Makes improvements to set up times for tasks and simplify tooling time for workers and increases productivity for the client.
- Provide feedback to project managers on design, modifications etc.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Other duties as required.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs; may work in hot areas 15%, noise 10%.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience as a QA Inspector
- Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience an asset
- Manufacturing experience an asset
- Experience using basic hand inspection tools
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings/design
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be able to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Proficient in use of basic computer technology
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to lift loads up to 50lbs (assisted if needed)
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position
