Salon Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Salon Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our salon. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a keen understanding of retail management. As the Salon Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and driving sales while maintaining a welcoming environment for both clients and employees.

General Responsibilities

• Manage daily salon operations including staff schedules, inventory management, and customer service excellence
• Work with ownership to recruit, train, and support stylists and barbers to uphold the salon’s high standards
• Address and resolve client concerns promptly and professionally
• Drive sales growth by setting and tracking goals, and supporting marketing and promotional efforts
• Maintain financial oversight, including budgeting, sales tracking, and expense control
• Cultivate a friendly, motivated salon culture focused on teamwork and continuous improvement
• Enforce salon policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations compliant with local authorities
• Represent the salon in the local community and work with owners to build client loyalty programs

Experience
The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in retail management or salon management roles or ample experience as a stylist with aptitude to move to a manager role.
• Deep understanding of salon operations, hair care and colour services.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team
• Business-savvy with experience in meeting sales and operational targets
• Passion for delivering excellent client experiences and fostering a luxury yet accessible salon vibe
• Relevant beauty industry certifications and knowledge of health and safety standards an asset
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and bookkeeping practices.
• Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus (but not a necessity).
• Excellent phone etiquette to handle client inquiries professionally.
