Job Description
Sinai Health is looking for a Supervisor, Breast Imaging – Interventional Radiology to support our Medical Imaging Department at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus .
As part of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the day to day operations, staff development, process improvements and quality standards in the Breast Imaging and Interventional Radiology departments to include booking and clerical responsibilities. You will be required to assume responsibility for other imaging areas on an as needed basis. This corporate position may involve work at other sites and will require collaboration with our sister sites.
About the Medical Imaging Department
As part of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging with University Health Network, Women’s College Hospital, and Mount Sinai Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department provides a state-of-the-art environment for leading edge clinical practice, teaching, and research programs. An international leader in medical imaging, we conduct a large volume of various exams for diverse patient populations from the Emergency Department to Outpatients and Inpatients. The department features state-of-the-art technology and a team of innovative professionals dedicated to patient care.
In this role you will :
- Supervise, organize, assign, and distribute workload among assigned staff to ensure the department operates in a manner that is efficient, volume and outcome responsive
- Coach and mentor assigned staff to foster a positive atmosphere to support team building, collaboration and shared learning
- Perform administrative responsibilities to facilitate processes / procedures improvement in an efficient, effective work environment
- Maintain a system for detecting, documenting, and reporting discrepancies / errors; take appropriate actions as required
- Financial responsibilities to assigned cost centers, reporting / correcting discrepancies, variance reports
- Perform medical imaging procedures in accordance with Breast Imaging and / or Interventional Radiology safety regulations
- Anticipate impacts of change on quality assurance procedures and initiate timely adaptations to ensure quality control is maintained
- Participate in professional development, teaching / educational activities, safety and quality improvement programs to ensure excellence in the provision of service
- Exemplary attention to detail
- Manage and oversee MOH statistics and monitoring efficiency

Completion of a recognized degree or post diploma program in area of responsibilityRegistration with CMRITO5-7 years post qualification Medical Imaging experience in one or more modalitiesPrevious project management experience with effective computer skillsSuccessful completion of Breast 1 and 2 course. If not completed, willing to complete as a condition of hirePreferred
Membership with CAMRTWork experience in Interventional RadiologyLeadership experienceSkills and Knowledge
