Description de posteBuild client relationships through identification of market opportunities, client communications, preparation of proposals, and business development activities Ability to review and respond to RFPs and prepare project proposals Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development Contribute to the career development of less tenured staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring Be coached and mentored by some of Canada’s most well-respected leaders in Individual / Comprehensive EAs, MTO Class EAs, and Municipal Class EAs A university degree or post-undergraduate college diploma in planning, environmental studies, biology or a related field 5+ years’ EA experience, preferably in the consulting industry, with an emphasis on linear infrastructure (pipelines, electric transmission lines, roads, highways, transit) Strong communication, report writing, organization, interpersonal skills Valid Class G Driver’s License Eligibility or full membership or candidate membership in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute is considered an asset Successful project delivery as an Environmental Lead for Class EAs (Municipal Class EA, MTO, TRPAP, and / or federal EAs In-depth knowledge of relevant municipal, provincial and federal environmental legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines, and regulatory permitting and approval requirements Experience in the design and delivery of stakeholder and Indigenous Community engagement programs, including the use of innovative virtual engagement tools Experience in business development activities including client development and responding to RFPs Environmental management during construction, including developing environmental management plans, on-site monitoring and documentation is considered an asset Highly motivated with a proven ability to take initiative Strong report writing, organization and interpersonal skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Committed to success through personal development and team advancement Passionate about innovative approaches to public and stakeholder engagement Desire to be a key member of a solution-oriented, multi-disciplinary team Ability to work independently Achievement : do the work to hit the target; Continuous Development : always learning; always adapting; always growing; Creativity : discover new possibilities; Courage : do the things that matter, especially when it’s hard; Inclusiveness : enabling belonging to draw strength from our differences; Reliability : words result in actions that build trust; Employee share purchase plan Dillon is 100% employee owned and share ownership is open to all employees. Responsibilities
What your day will look like
As a key team member, you will have the opportunity to :
Project Delivery
- Manage / Lead projects for public and private sector clients related to EA, environmental permitting and approvals, and environmental compliance monitoring, with a focus on linear infrastructure EAs (Individual / Comprehensive EAs, Municipal Class EA, MTO, Hydro One, Metrolinx / TPAP)
- Manage / Support federal EAs and work with Indigenous communities. Work with multi-disciplinary teams on exciting and challenging projects, with a focus on removing barriers and improving access on roads, highways, transit, and active transportation facilities
- Develop and lead innovative EA consultation processes
- Play a key role in the growth and development of the team by empowering, inspiring and energizing the team through project experience

Compensation : $72,000 - $127,900
Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region. Dillon reserves the right to pay outside of the posted range, contingent on factors unrelated to an applicant’s gender or other status protected by provincial and / or federal law.
