Finning Canada is seeking the best Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal preferred) to join our team in Surrey. Our Heavy Duty Mechanics are responsible for the troubleshooting maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar general line construction equipment.

Job Description : Major Job Functions

Trouble shoot repair and maintain CAT equipment in a shop environment (experience with construction quarry and / or export facility equipment is an asset)

Respond to customer needs in a positive supportive and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.

Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required

Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements

Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment

• Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement

Specific Skills & Experience

Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification

Clean Drivers Abstract (5 yr)

Strong experience in Electrical Hydraulic and Emissions systems

Engine and / or component rebuilding experience would be beneficial

Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience

Previous gas engine and power generation experience wouldbe considered an asset

Important Details :

This role is based out of our Surrey Facility on a 5x2 (Monday to Friday) shift

A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol fitness testing) and wear a respiratorwhere applicable
