Job Description
We are working with a Federal Government client seeking an IT Security Vulnerability Analysis Specialist to join their team on an onsite, 3-year contract. They are looking for a team that can detect, analyze and respond to critical network or host-based incidents on government networks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify threats to, and technical vulnerabilities of, networks;
- Conduct on-site reviews and analysis of system security logs;
- Collect, collate, analyze and disseminate public domain information related to networked computer threats and vulnerabilities, security incidents and incident responses;
- Prepare and / or deliver IT Security threat, vulnerability and / or risk briefings;
- Completed tasks directly supporting the departmental IT Security and Cyber Protection Program
- Develop and deliver training material relevant to the resource category.
Qualifications and Skills
10 years experience as an IT Security Vulnerability specialist10 years experience employing cyber security concepts including wireless security, security protocols, prevention systems.10 years experience in the utilization of security tools including intrusion detection systems, network scanners and vulnerability analysis tools such as Portscan and NMap.Rectified three (3) or more cyber vulnerabilities within IT investigations.Holds a valid SECRET Security Clearance.Education
Should have completed formal education in the Computer Engineering field at a recognized and accredited University.
